Agartala, February 15 (TIWN): Keeping the police stations in deep slumber, a strong racket of thieves actively attempting to commit theft in the heart of capital city Agartala for past few days. Putting a question mark to the police administration, the racket of thieves tried to rob in few shops at Joynagar bus stand and Melarmath in the wee hours of Saturday night.

Though, a group of thieves attempted to rob Das Trading Agency of Joynagar bus stand along with some other shops of Melarmath in the capital city by partially breaking the shutter and locks, the policemen engaged in patrolling across the city unexpectedly failed get a single hint.

As a result, panic is prevailed among the city dwellers, shop owners and merchant associations putting a question mark to the police for maintaining poor performance in course of security during the night hours.

Subsequently, the city dwellers and shop owners in the capital city- Agartala are feeling insecure during the hours of darkness due to repeated attempt of an active group of thieves.

Besides, a section of rowdy bike riders and auto-rickshaw drivers maintain to move across the city after consuming heavy alcohol and other contraband items as well, but a major component of policemen including few officers reportedly waste time by gossiping or playing cards inside the police stations.
