AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): Heavy protest sparked in Dharmanagar subdivision following death of Prasenjit Sarkar, a delivery boy who was assaulted by consumers at Blue Dart office. Even after videos of assault had gone viral no arrest was made. The agitators raised questions over the police's role asking, why after such an incident nobody was arrested.

A deputation was placed to SP North demanding action against the culprits.

The assaulted delivery boy’s dead body was found hanging on Monday in Dharmanahar subdivision in North Tripura. This incident has sparked heavy public outrage on social media. The 23-year-old victim Prasenjit Sarkar has been identified as a Blue Dart delivery employee. FIRs lodged against Sanjit Bhattacharjee (25) and Susmita Bhattacharjee (36).

An TIWN received exclusive footage showing the assault on Prasenjit that actually occurred on Sunday night.

Amid the news was spread on social media, Prasenjit was missing and from near a forest of his house, his dead body was recovered. 

Son of Nepal Sarkar, Prasenjit is a resident of Kameswar Gram Panchayat, Ward No-3.

According to the family's allegation, the women along with four male friends came to the Blue Dart office and then the women assaulted him. After the video was spread on social media, Prasenjit was left mentally tortured. Since night he was missing.

His family, along with locals, started searching for him. Later his body was found hanging from a tree.

Family members of the young man were left devastated with this unexpected incident.
