AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday asked Tripura Police officials to take Tripura to No.1 position in law and order. “We all know that Tripura ranks third in good maintenance of law and order situations. But why can’t we become No.1 from No.3?” The chief minister was addressing a meeting attended by top police officers from all districts, at Pragna Bhawan and thanked them for their good work. The chief minister also mentioned that police can work freely in Tripura and he (CM) does not interfere in police activities.

“I have been appreciated for not interfering in police activities,” said CM.

He further advised the cops to being friendly and smiling while operating in public.
