AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): The Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Administration has sealed the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) office indefinitely, citing concerns over deteriorating law and order. The move comes amidst ongoing tensions between rival labor groups in the area.
According to reports, the administration, led by Additional Sub-Divisional Magistrate David Halam, took the decision to prevent further escalation of violence. The BMS office was locked and sealed, with police and TSR personnel deployed to maintain order.
"We have taken this step to prevent any further deterioration of law and order," Halam said. "The office will remain closed until further notice."
The sealing of the BMS office follows a series of violent incidents in the city, sparked by disagreements between rival labor groups. Locals are hoping that the administration's intervention will help restore peace and calm in the area.
