AGARTALA, Oct 24 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha visited GB hospital on Friday to meet the injured people who were attacked by Tiprasa Civil Society organized strike participants who were backed by Tipra Motha party. Saha condemned the attack, saying, “Those attacks were an attempt to murder. The way they have attacked with sticks, choppers, slingshots — it’s unimaginable. This was a disgrace in the name of protest,” said CM.
He also said law will take its own course and nobody will be spared. Strict actions will be taken against the hooligans,” said CM.
The chief minister also condemned the attack on social media page and said, “We strongly condemn the violent attack by Tipra Motha supporters on Abhijit Majumdar (BDO, Salema), Engineer Animesh Saha, and residents of Santirbazar, Dhalai District. Such acts of violence are unacceptable. The administration is directed to take swift and strict action against those responsible.”
