AGARTALA, Oct 4 (TIWN): A 14 years old girl left in critical condition after alleged sexual harassment and physical torture by a businessman Shankar Das. Today, West Agartala Women Police arrested Shankar Das after searching him for one day, as Das was absconding since the incident. West Agartala Women Police Station OC Shiuli Das briefed the media about the entire operation that took place to arrest the accused.

After the incident on behalf of the government it was told to the media that anyone who is involved in this incident will not be spared. 

The incident happened in the West Jaynagar area at around morning 10 AM on Thursday. A fishing businessman named Shankar Das allegedly took the opportunity of an isolated room and molested her. When she tried to stop him, he attacked her further physically, leaving her injured.

At a point, people started approaching the area listening to her screaming but Shankar Das managed to escape from the spot. However, police could arrest him after thorough search operations.
