AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): A student fell victim to a cyber scam, losing Rs 20,000, in the Bishramganj market area. Riya Sinha, a school student, reported that she was tricked into transferring the money to the scammer's account through Google Play.
The incident prompted Riya's family to file a written complaint with the Bishramganj police station and the cybercrime cell. The police have frozen the scammer's accounts and launched an investigation into the matter.
Riya's family is devastated after losing the money and is anxiously waiting to see if they can recover the amount. The incident serves as a reminder for people to be cautious and vigilant when dealing with online transactions.
