AGARTALA, Sep 25 (TIWN): A special ceremony was held at the Gauranagar Panchayat Samiti to mark the distribution of computers, printers, and LED TVs to 23 Gram Panchayats in the block. The initiative, a joint effort by the Higher Education Department and Panchayat Department, aims to modernize administrative processes and improve service delivery.
The distribution ceremony was attended by Gauranagar Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Lakshi Namah, Vice Chairperson Badruzzaman, BDO Nabarun Chakraborty, and other officials. Each of the 23 panchayats received a computer, printer, and LED TV to facilitate digital governance and enhance transparency.
Vice Chairperson Badruzzaman emphasized the importance of technology in development, stating that connecting each panchayat to digital services would increase transparency and efficiency at the grassroots level. BDO Nabarun Chakraborty added that the government's goal is to integrate each panchayat into the mainstream of digital administration, enabling better record-keeping, service delivery, and community engagement.
