AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): Various clubs and labor organizations are allegedly stopping vehicles on the Dharmanagar-Sabroom route, demanding forced subscriptions in the name of Vishwakarma and Durga Puja celebrations. Drivers who refuse to pay are reportedly being assaulted, and vehicles are being damaged.

In response, the Mazdoor Monitoring Cell will submit a deputation to the Director General of Police (DGP) at the Police Headquarters in Agartala Fire Service today, September 9, 2025, at 12 pm. They demanded swift action to minimise the problem at earliest.
