AGARTALA, Aug 17 (TIWN): A drone was recovered from a rubber plantation in Kalapania under Lefunga police station, sparking widespread tension in the area. The incident occurred when a local youth, Akash Debbarma, stumbled upon the drone while working in the plantation and informed the authorities.

Upon receiving the information, SDPO Mohanpur, Sabyasachi Debnath, along with police personnel from Lembucherra outpost, rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that it was an ordinary drone, which was seized and taken away by the police for further examination.

The recovery of the drone has raised concerns about its origin and purpose, with authorities working to determine whether it was used for surveillance or other activities.
