Vehicle escaped after hitting a school student on the National Highway in Charilam: The Injured girl was referred to GB hospital

CHARILAM, Aug 15 (TIWN): Drivers are yet to put the brakes or slow their vehicles while crossing the school areas, violating the driving guidelines regularly. In such an incident, a vehicle driver managed to escape after hitting a 10-year-old girl who was returning to her home after celebrating Independence Day at her school.
The grade-IV student of Atal Bihari Vajpayee HS School was trapped in the accident in front of traffic police officials, said eye-witnesses.
The injured student, Susmita Nama, was rushed to the local hospital, and her family members were also informed.
After primary treatment, she was referred GB hospital for better treatment.
