AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): As a part of celebrating India’s independence from the British in 1947 in exchange for century-long freedom fights by Indians, Tripura schools, colleges, offices, and even households hoisted the national flags to mark the 79th Independence Day of the country. In all eight districts, several programs were organized, whereas one main program was arranged in each district, attended by District Magistrate, Police Superintendent, local MLAs and cabinet ministers.
