Agartala, July 29 (TIWN): The Tripura state committees of AIDSO, AIDYO, and AIMSS paid tribute to Iswarchandra Vidyasagar on his 134th death anniversary. The leaders of the organizations paid floral tributes to Vidyasagar's portrait at the Post Office Chowmuhani area in Agartala.
The leaders and activists remembered Vidyasagar's contributions to social reform, women's education, and the introduction of widow remarriage. They highlighted the relevance of his progressive ideas in today's society and emphasized the need to follow his ideals.
The event was attended by Ramprasad Acharya, State Secretary of AIDSO, and other prominent leaders of the organizations. They expressed deep respect and gratitude for Vidyasagar's pioneering work in shaping modern Indian society.
