Bishalgarh, July 22 (TIWN): A massive python was spotted in DhajaNagar, Bishalgarh, under Bishalgarh police station, on Tuesday night. The python had wandered into the residential area, sparking panic among locals.

The python was later caught by local youths and handed over to forest officials from Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary. The officials took the python into custody and transported it back to the sanctuary.

Locals have expressed concerns about the increasing sightings of pythons in the area, attributing it to the lack of adequate food supply in the sanctuary. They claim that the pythons are venturing into human habitations in search of food, posing a threat to the local population.

The incident has raised questions about the management of the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary and the need for better conservation efforts to ensure the well-being of both humans and wildlife in the area.
