Agartala, July 21 (TIWN): Jatrapur police station conducted an operation to destroy ganja nurseries in Kalikhola ADC village area. Seven nurseries were destroyed, with thousands of ganja saplings reportedly seized.
The operation was led by Senior Sub-Inspector Amar Kishore Debbarma and Pritam Dutta. The police stated that such operations would continue to curb ganja cultivation in the area.
The operation required the team to trek 2 kilometers through a rural road cutting across agricultural fields to locate the nurseries. The team consisted of 10 personnel, including TSR and S.U joawans.
The Jatrapur police station is currently being managed by four sub-inspectors, who are jointly taking decisions and handling law and order, including anti-narcotics operations, in the absence of a permanent Officer-in-Charge.
