AGARTALA, July 18 (TIWN): Tripura STGT candidates on Friday organized a massive protest in front of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s residence, demanding result declaration for 2022-STGT exams. The candidates said, they were waiting for four years for the results and various Ministers, leaders were assuring them they would not be deprived of exams, but now suddenly the Tripura cabinet decided to recruit over 700 new people without declaring the previous exam’s results, which was held in 2022 August.
“It’s long four years that we are waiting for the results, but there is no solution to that. Now that new recruitment has been announced, many of us are now overage. They can not appear in the exams,” said a job aspirant.
“So we demand to complete our recruitment first and then announce posts. We are not against any new post creation, but we can’t let our futures be doomed,” she added.
“If you can not give us results, give us poison,” said an agitated job aspirant.
Police personnel rushed to the spot to disperse the gathering, as the job candidates were protesting after gheraoing CM’s quarter.
“So many times we tried to meet the CM, but he never met us. Aren't we children of this state?” asked a protesting youth. “After wasting four years of our lives, now the government is thinking of re-examination. Couldn't they do it earlier?”
