Charilam, July 17 (TIWN): The National Highway 8 near the Satsang Ashram in Charilam Bazar has been submerged in water due to heavy rainfall. The road has become impassable, causing difficulties for pedestrians and vehicle drivers.
This is not a new issue, as the road has been prone to waterlogging during rainfall for several years. Despite repeated complaints, the district administration and national highway authorities have failed to take adequate measures to address the problem.
The heavy rainfall has turned the national highway into a virtual sea, disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to commuters. The locals have demanded that the authorities take immediate action to resolve the issue and prevent such situations in the future.
