AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday visited Belbari RD Block community as a part of Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan under the Jirania subdivision.
Talking to the media, the Chief Minister said that under PM Modi massive numbers of schemes were launched for tribal welfare.
He mentioned, Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan is one of such scheme, but other schemes, such as Jal-Jeeban mission, have been totally utilized.
“Only announcement is not enough, but there should be a saturation point. Earlier only 3% water accessibility was existing in the tribal areas and now it’s over 85% which has been covered with pipeline water,” he added.
“From electricity services to ST certificates --- we are working to fulfil all the necessary things to the people,” he said, adding, “This scheme will continue for five years and it’s expected that fruitful results will come out.”
“We started Gar-Ghar Sushashan…. And now other works are going on and that includes this Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari scheme,” he added.
CM stressed upon proper implementation of the central schemes instead of only announcement and said, the Tripura government is working in that direction.
