Kailashahar, July 12 (TIWN): A brazen incident of arson has rocked Kailashahar, with miscreants setting fire to a paver finisher machine belonging to Mahi Construction near the TSR camp in Gournagar block. The machine's crucial part was completely damaged in the fire, which has left the town in a state of panic.

Contractor Abdul Mannan alleged that the machine was regularly parked at the site for security reasons after work hours. This is not the first time his machinery has been targeted, as a similar incident occurred in the Paiturbazar area earlier. Despite filing complaints, the police took no action, Mannan claimed.

The recent incident occurred late at night, with eyewitnesses reporting that petrol was poured on the machine before it was set ablaze. Mannan accused the administration of being silent on these incidents, with no progress in the investigation or questioning of suspects.

The incident has sparked widespread fear and anger in Kailashahar, with businessmen and contractors questioning the effectiveness of the administration in maintaining law and order. Citizens are worried that if this trend continues, Kailashahar will become a city of fear rather than development.
