Agartala, July 10: A newly constructed road from Durganagar to Lalchhara has been reduced to a pitiable state, leaving commuters and travelers in distress.
The road was initially damaged during the construction of a national highway, when heavy vehicles used the route, causing it to deteriorate rapidly. Although the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) reconstructed the road after much persuasion, it has again fallen into disrepair within six months.
The road's deplorable condition has made it difficult for drivers and passengers to navigate, especially during rainfall. Despite the visible distress, authorities seem to be turning a blind eye to the issue. The locals are now demanding immediate attention to repair the road and prevent further damage.
