AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Ruling BJP slammed the opposition CPI-M for supporting trade union strikes, saying the strike was an utter failure. “Strike was a failure, but now CPI-M is using the rain to save their faces,” said a BJP leader, citing that, due to the rain many people could not come out of their homes whole day and CPI-M is claiming that they succeeded with the strike.
“The strike political culture is not acceptable. This is so outdated and people do not have interest in this strike politics,” the BJP leader said.
“Transport services were normal like every day. From buses to small vehicles – all types of vehicles were seen plying on the road,” he said.
“Amid the bad weather, people came out of their homes and the reason is to fail the strike,” he said.
