Agartala, July 5 (TIWN): A harrowing incident occurred on the outskirts of Kanchannagar Subhash Nagar when a speeding vehicle crashed into another, triggering a chain reaction that involved three cars.
The accident took place on July 5, as a convoy carrying Tripura State Tribal Welfare Committee members, including MLA Ranjit Das from Amarpur, was returning from a visit to Jampui Hill.
The MLA's vehicle bore the brunt of the impact, suffering significant damage. However, despite the severity of the crash, MLA Ranjit Das narrowly escaped injury. The airbags deployed in the vehicle, likely preventing any serious harm to the occupants.
The incident has raised concerns about road safety in the region. As per reports no one was seriously hurt in the accident, and the MLA's condition is reportedly stable.
The incident is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the accident and assess the damage.
