AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): In an attempt to curb vehicle accidents on bypass roads, West District Police special team conducted a vehicle paper-checking, speed-limit measuring drive on Monday.
The drive took police at the Amtali, Khayerpur bypass area’s Malaynagar Naka point.
With the rising accidents on the bypass road, this step was necessitated, said an on-duty police personal.
Bypass roads are used by drivers for traffic-jam-free movements, which often led the vehicular to violate the speed limits, raising road accidents risks.
