AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): A protest rally was held by the "Jago Hindu Jago" organization in protest of the Hindu persecution in Bangladesh and the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das.
On Tuesday, a huge protest rally was held along the Bangladesh border road adjacent to Dharmanagar Notun Bazar in the North Tripura district.
The Border Security Force along with the local security department stopped the rally through a barricade.
The was addressed by Sudip Chakraborty, the head of Sadhak Ratan Monir Seva Sadan located in Anandabazar, Kanchanpur, North Tripura district.
The agitators then burnt an effigy of the interim government head Muhammad Yusuf.
