AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Local residents have accused the contractor of conducting substandard repair work on the Chandrapur-Baldakhal route.

They pointed out that in some areas, the road surface was properly laid, while in others, it was completely neglected, raising concerns about the road's durability.

The residents demanded government intervention to address the issue.

"This road work is a result of corruption. Our demand to the government is to fix the road immediately," said a senior citizen.

"The road is crumbling at every step, as if the work was done just for show," a woman added.
