AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath has declared 5% DA for the TSECL employees on Saturday.

While announcing, the Minister told the media that it was such a decision that was never taken before by any government that ruled in Tripura.

“Earlier for any such public sector the salary raise was done based on the total profit made by the sector itself, but this is the first time that such a decision was taken to benefit the TSECL employees like other government employees,” he added.

Ratan Lal Nath has been holding the Power and Agriculture Depts since Dr. Manik Saha became the CM for the second time. Previously during ex-CM Biplab Deb's tenure, he was in charge of heavyweight departments like Education.
