KAILASHAHAR, Nov 30 (TIWN): District Court in Unakoti District Court Judge Amarendra Kumar Singh, sentenced a rapist to twenty years of rigorous imprisonment. The trial was ended within 9-months. In March, 2021, an eleven-year-old minor girl was raped by PintuDas, a resident of Laljuri village under the Fatikrai police station, in Jagannathpur gram panchayat area under Kailashahar women police station. No one was at the minor's house that day. Pintu took this opportunity to commit this heinous act.
Later, when the minor's mother came home at night and found the minor was in critical condition.
The next day, i.e. on March 11, the minor's mother filed a written case against Pintu Das at Kailashahar Women police station.
The investigating officer of the case, Pratibha Sinha, later arrested the accused Pintu Das.
The lawyers also said that fourteen people testified against the accused Pintu Das during the course of the case in court.
On Saturday, the court convicted the accused Pintu as rapist and sentenced him to twenty years of rigorous imprisonment.
