AGARTALA, Nov 29 (TIWN): Addressing an animal husbandry department (ARDD) under Mukhyamantri Prani Palak Samman Nidhi (MPSBY) scheme, Minister Sudhangshu Das on Friday said, he recently met a person who earns Rs. 12 lakh per month by poultry farming in Sepahijala district.
“Just think, if a person can earn Rs. 12 lakhs from poultry farming, what would be his total volume of earnings annually? From his poultry he sells eggs as well as supplies meats”, the Minister said at Pragna Bhawan.
The program was attended by CM Dr. Manik Saha, dedicated to MPSBY schemes on the BMS portal.
“Whatever you (farmers) do whether it’s poultry, pig rearing, and milking --- government will give the half investment. So we want to aware the people to come forward and take the benefits,” added Das inviting the farmers to take government financial support for animal farming.
Minister Sudhangshu Das further mentioned Tripura right now is lagging behind egg and milk productions and that are the areas where the focus can be laid more.
