The incident happened in Jampuijala Block’s Pathaliaghat village’s Khengra Bari area. Victim Sima Rani Debbarma, D/O-Jitendra Debbarma told her brother Shib Shankar Debbarma about the ongoing blackmailing issue just one day back she took the extreme step.

That time nobody was at home to save her.

Family accused Ashok Debbarma as the main culprit whereas he was helped by another man but he could not be identified by the family.

An FIR was lodged in Bisharamganj police station but no action has been taken against Ashok Debbarma. Even an FIR copy also was not served to the victim's family.
