AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Amid road safety awareness programs, accidents remain uncontrolled in the state.

In a tragic incident, husband and wife both died and their younger daughter Debashree is hospitalized.

The deceased are Ranjit Deb and Soma Das, residents of Khowai.

Ranjit Deb who is a wood furniture worker was on a bike with his wife Soma Das and daughter Debashree Deb, when they were hit by a car at Khowai, Mahadeb Tila area.

Ranjit Deb died on the spot whereas, after 5 days, his wife Soma Das also passed away at GB hospital.

Their younger daughter Debashree Deb is hospitalized and her leg is in a critical state.

The couple left behind two daughters.
