AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Battala police successfully recovered stolen bags within few hours of the incident.
A man named Shyamal Dey lost his bag in Battala route when he was travelling in a auto from Barjala to Battala. He kept Rs. 20,000 for his son’s treatment in the bag and was towards Agartala Railway station with his family. They were on way to Shilchar.
After losing his bag, the man complained to police and police with help of CCTV footages identified the vehicle.
On the other hand, the driver Chandan Deb already informed the auto station about the bag and later he planned to go to police station if nobody claims the bag but by that time already Battala police identified the vehicle and called the driver.
On being informed, Chandan rushed to the police station with the bag and handed it over to the police.
Shyamal Dey expressed his thankfulness to police after the incident.
