AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): A senior citizen was killed in his own house in the capital city of Agartala on Saturday night. The incident happened in Vidyasagar Soyabean Factory area in Agartala, in the late-evening. The murdered senior citizen Kajal Das was found lying on the floor with severe blood injuries. Neighbours have expressed suspicion over his son’s role in this incident. SDPO Deba Prasad Roy who reached the spot told media that police can not say anything right now without investigation.
Dog-squad was brought to the spot along with the forensic team.
“Papan (Kajal Das’s son) rushed to our home and said, somebody hit his father. We asked him why is he not taking him to the doctor. He said, he thinks his dad is no more. Then when we asked him to go to police, he refused but anyhow we managed to take him to the police station with others and then police detained him,” he said.

Neighbours said Papan Das was drug addicted and recently his father sold his land’s one portion and most likely centering this, the murder happened. Locals also alleged that Papan used to beat his father frequently.
