AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party’s student wing Tipra Indigenous Students Federation (TISF) on Saturday placed a deputation to Governor Indra Sena Nallu with five points of demands regarding the improvement of school conditions in Tripura’s various parts.
“We have visited various schools in the state. In rural areas, the schools do not even look like schools. They look like cattle-shed, leaving with no basic infrastructure. We want development of the schools,” said TISF President Sajra Debbarma.
The student body also demanded that libraries be installed in all schools so that poor students who can’t afford books could access the basic facilities.
“The governor also agreed to us, stating, recently he also visited various schools and felt the necessity of improvement,” Debbarma told media.
