AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): One of the arrested accused persons has received injuries during police custody in Bharat Ratna Club Secretary Vicky murder case. Whereas the lawyer on the accused persons' behalf claimed it was a mark of police torture during police custody, Govt lawyer Shankar Lodh disputing the allegation stated that the arrested person was injured by falling in the bathroom and police never tortured him in custody. “If someone falls in the bathroom, is it the police’s fault? The person is making such allegations to save himself from police custody," said Shankar Lodh. Total of five persons were arrested in the Vicky murder case and many are under police remand. Today, four persons were produced before the court.
However, the main accused persons like Raju Barman are yet out of from police’s rudder.
“Just hold on for a while ! Everyone will be arrested,” said Shankar Lodh, Govt lawyer.
The incident occurred April 31st evening at around 8 O’Clock after an unknown person covering his face shot Vicky.
Police have arrested so far five persons connected to the case. However, the motive of the crime could not be unearthed yet.
