AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder has submitted nomination for Ramnagar by-poll constituency on Wednesday.
A massive rally was organized to complete the nomination process.
Addressing media on the occasion, Dipak Majumder said, he is honoured to fight for BJP in place of popular leader Late Surajit Datta.
“This massive gathering of people shows that how people are supporting BJP in this upcoming poll,” said Majumder.
Ramnagar by-poll was necessitated after BJP’s incumbent MLA Surajit Datta passed away from kidney disease.
Surajit Datta’s family members also attended the rally in support of the BJP candidate.
BJP also submitted West Tripura constituency Lok Sabha poll candidate Biplab Deb’s nomination on the same day.
West Tripura Lok Sabha and Ramnagar By-Poll will happen on same day that is April 19.
