AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Tripura former chief minister and presently Lok Sabha candidate for West Tripura has been the reason for mass resentment among a large group of senior BJP workers. BJP members who are involved in BJP party since 1990’s time have formed Adi-BJP and decided to fight separately in the upcoming Lok Sabha election from both West Tripura and East Tripura. Milan Pada Murasing, a senior BJP member has submitted nominations for the West Tripura seat.
Talking to media on behalf of Milan Tripura, a party leader said, “We are Adi-BJP but our party was not recognized ever. So we are fighting independently. Since 1990’s time we are involved in politics till 2017 but as soon as Biplab Deb came to state, he did not care about us.”
“We would try to raise the public issues. True BJP leaders in Tripura want people’s overall development and for that we are here. I fought on behalf of BJP in Assembly multiple times, but when Biplab Deb became the party president of BJP, he crossed the existing leadership and did as he like. Our candidate Milan Tripura was the Mandal president of Santir Bazar for 10 years. We have many such leaders who are deprived,” he said.
For East Tripura the Adi-BJP is planning to submit nomination for Subir Kumar Jamatia.
