AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): Saddam Hossain (15), S/O-Askir Mia, resident of Dashteki village died in BSF firing after he crossed the border illegally, allegedly to contribute in smuggling activities and later held attacks on BSF with his group of 25 people on Sunday.
In this incident, a BSF jawan left critically injured.
His dead body has been sent to Bangladesh today in presence of his father. Bangladesh police also reached the spot and officially the body was handed over to the family.
The incident took place at Maruguli Gram Panchayat area in Kailashahar, Gaur Nagar block.
The deceased was involved in sugar smuggling racket.
