AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): Three Rohingyas were arrested by Agartala Railway Police on Sunday from Agartala Railway station. The arrested persons are – Abdul Rashid (24), Md Yusuf (23), Md Amid Hossain (23). They are residents of Mandu, District-Aykub, and Mayanmar. Three of them reportedly entered India 8 years back and have been working in Hyderabad. They planned to cross the border to go to Bangladesh to meet their family and while returning Tripura border, were arrested.
Police said, “Like other days’ routine checking, three persons were found doubtful. After interrogating them, it was noted that before eight years they entered India through the West Bengal Banful border. They came here two days back to go to Bangladesh via the Tripura border.”
A case was registered against them and to be produced before the court.
