AGARTALA, March 15 (TIW): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday met East Tripura Lok Sabha candidate Kriti Singh and congratulated her for being elected as Lok Sabha candidate for East Tripura. “I wish and congratulate the candidate on his nomination. I believe that she will strengthen Modi ji's hand by winning a large number of votes in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. We are determined to work together for the welfare of the people of the state,” said CM Dr. Manik Saha.
The 2018's Lok Sabha poll Chhattisgarh independent candidate Kriti Devi Singh who has been nominated as the East Tripura candidate, replacing Rebati Tripura is siter of Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Manikya. Tipra Motha party workers welcomed her at the Agartala MBB Airport.
Recently Tipra Motha party had aligned with the BJP.
Kriti Singh received 0.3% vote in Chhattisgarh in 2018.
MP Rebati Tripura who did not get candidature this year, however, has congratulated both candidates of BJP on social media formally.
For West Tripura, BJP has selected former CM Biplab Deb as the candidate.
