AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): Tripura’s major opposition party has quit as opposition to join the BJP-led Tripura Govt turning the state govt to be ruled by BJP-Tipra Motha-IPFT parties. Two MLAs Animesh Debbarma and Brishketu Debbarma have taken oath as Ministers. Governor Indrajit Sena Nallu administered the oath to the newly joined cabinet ministers. Animesh Debbarma has been the leader of the opposition in Tripura Assembly. Animesh Debbarma said, he had to resign as the opposition leader to join in the ministry.
Reacting to media query, Animesh Debbarma said, “I have no experience in ministry. But I will first try my best to adapt the work culture and whatever tasks would be given to me, I can fulfil. I will also try to keep the expectations of the party and work accordingly.”
Tipra Motha party recently signed an agreement with Govt of India and Govt of Tripura about development of the ADC and Tribal community.
