'Providing Safe Drinking Water is a priority of Tripura Govt' : Says State Govt

AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): “Providing safe drinking water is a priority of the central as well as state government,” said Tripura Budget 2024-25.
“State Government is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission with utmost sincerity.Prior to implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission only 24502 (3.30%) rural households were provided with individual household tap connections,” the budget said.
“After the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in 2019, a total 5,72,793 (76.81%) rural households in the State have been provided with Functional Household Tap connections (FHTC). The state government has spent Rs. 2545.41Crore under JJM in last four years,” said state Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
