AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Budget 2024-25 has assured to modernize the ration distributions with central funding.

“During 2024-25, the scheme for Modernization and Reforms through Technology in the Public Distribution System (SMART PDS) will be launched in the State with funding support from the Government of India” said the budget 2024-25.

It is also proposed to install system-integrated electronic weighing machines and iris scanners at all Fair Price Shops in the state for seamless authentication of beneficiaries.
