AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Invoking peace as the inevitable part of development, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha after the tripartite MoU was signed with regional Tipra Motha party with Tripura Govt and India Govt, said, “Both BJP and our Govt do not believe in agitation like activities.” CM hinted the Govt was successful in stopping the agitation that was continuing at Hathai Kathar (Baramura) demanding a constitutional solution for the tribals. Reacting to the timebound follow-up of the deal, CM stated, “There is no limited time which was set in the agreement. We never said, we would do that much by that time, but we will do as we promised.” CM Manik Saha said, the Ek-Tripura, Shrestha Tripura mission has today one more step gone ahead with the deal. Chaired a press meet at Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday praised Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha for going into the depths of the problem and finding a solution to end the dispute with Tipra Motha.
After a tripartite agreement among the Govt of India, the Govt of Tripura and the Tipra Motha, Amit Shah held a press conference in Delhi saying, from today Tripura is going to be ‘Vivad Mukt’ (dispute-free).
Talking to the media, Shah said, “Today is a historical day for Tripura. We have respected the history, solved the problems and accepted the facts. We are now going towards development.”
