KHOWAI, Feb 26 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday in the Khowai Saras fair said that Modi Govt has been playing a major role in reducing poverty in India.
Citing Tripura’s increasing self-help group CM said, “Before 2018, there were around 4000 self-help groups, whereas now Tripura has 51,364 numbers of self-help groups means around 10 to 15 times more than before.”
“Right now Tripura has 4,66,466 self-help groups,” he added.
“PM Modi released funds from time to time for Tripura. It shows it’s only this Govt that cares for the poor people. The previous ruling governments were only claiming to be poor people’s government which is not true,” said CM.
"For the modernization of rail stations, he released Rs. 260 crores whereas Rs. 46 crores were released this year. A total 41,000 crores were released for India’s overall development and modernization of 554 railway stations," Saha told the gathering at Saras fair.
CM said, Tripura Govt will continue house to house Sushanshan project to spread awareness about various schemes of the government, so that people may get the benefits.
