AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Congress’s newly appointed Youth Congress President Neel Kamal Saha said on Thursday that the unemployment issue is the key issue for the Youth Congress along with rising drug addictions in the society.
Talking to the media, Saha said, “Our first issue is to fight against the government’s role in employment generation. It has almost started a black market with the employment issue.”
“We can see that when the national unemployment rate is 10.3% and in Tripura, the unemployment rate is 14%, which means more than the national average rate”, he said.
“In 2018, the youth had voted BJP to power. The BJP leaders promised they would provide 50,000 jobs if voted to power. Today unemployed youths are frustrated leading them to drug addiction. At the same time theft, and robbery cases are increasing due to that, but BJP leaders are not willing to end the root of the drug”, said Saha.
The Youth Congress President also said various ministers and leaders are involved in drug addictions.
