Khowai, Feb 22 (TIWN): In a tragic road accident, at least one person died on the spot and nine others remain in critical condition in Khowai, Sonatali area. The accident took place after a Mahindra pickup vehicle and an auto collided head to head. Khowai SP Ramesh Yadav has confirmed that one person has died on the spot and more nine were hospitalized and later referred to GB Hospital.
Talking to the media, SP Khowai Ramesh Yadav said, “When it was heavily raining these two vehicles hit each other. A total of nine persons were injured and one died on the spot.”
“The auto was carrying five persons and one person was sitting in front. The nine injured persons were referred to GB hospital,” he added.
The SP stated that due to reckless driving, and overtaking by the auto, the accident took place.
