Rajib Bhattacharjee, a resident of Amarpur, Fatiksagar married a woman in Gangachara, Kakrabon. He has been torturing his wife since the beginning.

Then he started blackmailing his sister-in-law and raped her. He said if she tells anyone, her elder sister will be tortured more.

On June 3rd, 2021 when the victim was returning from a private tutor's home, he kidnapped her and forced her to go to another state with him. But at Agartala Airport, he was arrested and the victim girl was rescued after her father lodged a missing complaint.

Various charges were imposed on the kidnapper like 363, 376 IPCs, POCSO act. Today Udaipur court has sent him to suffer 12 years jail for committing the heinous crime.
