MANU, Jan 26 (TIWN): In a tragic fire incident, Manu Bazar market’s various shops were burnt into ashes on Friday causing crores of losses for the local businessmen there. Over 6 shops were fully burnt which includes 3 hotels and medium size shops. Also, electric equipment shop and a tailor shop were fully destroyed in the devastating fire accident. The incident took place around 2.30 am but the cause of the fire has remained unknown. After getting information, Fire Brigade team rushed to the spot to control the fire but it took over two hours to bring the fire under control.
During the fire incident, four gas cylinders blasted expanded the fire further. Later, two more fire brigade engines from Jolaibari and Sabroom reached the spot.
SDM and other officials reached the spot and inspected the incident. A measuring of the losses has been initiated for compensation purposes. Initially, Rs. 10,000 will be provided to the affected businessmen there.
