AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Leader of the Opposition Animesh Debbarma visited Battala market on Tuesday, day after the devastating fire incident.

The MLA demanded immediate relief funds for the affected businessmen and rehabilitation package.

He also requested the Govt that the market should be reconstructed and the design must be shown to the opposition as fire safety and various issues are related.

“Even the fire brigade vehicles could not enter for fire extinguishing. We demand more scientific constructions in our market areas”, said Debbarma.

Animesh Debbarma mentioned, power department has an important role to play in market areas and they must check the connections from time to time.
