AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): Statewide teachers’ crisis has put the Education system in jeopardy, but the Education Dept has no urgency to recruit qualified candidates. In such a situation, 2022 STGT-qualified candidates requested Tripura Govt to recruit them immediately as they have been waiting for the recruitment for 1 year 2 months. A protest was staged at Agartala city center premise by the unemployed youths on Saturday. “Earlier there was a legal barrier which was removed long back. We are unable to understand the reason behind delayed recruitment. When schools are reeling under teachers’ crisis, why can’t the Govt recruit a few numbers of qualified candidates”, said a job aspirant.
Some of the agitators broke down in tears seeking recruitment.
“We are now frustrated. We consider the Govt as our guardian as our fates are in their hands. We request the Chief Minister to recruit us with folded hands”, said a housewife, a qualified candidate who is in tears while appealing for her recruitment.
“We have been protesting for a long time for our recruitment. We have staged protest at TRBT, Education offices”, said a job aspirant.
Many times, the STGT candidates wanted to meet CM Manik Saha (who is also the Education Minister) but did not get an appointment.
